FORTY winks in the world’s most expensive bed will set you back an eye-opening £100,000 a wink.
The £4million Baldacchino Supreme bed features 107kg of solid 24ct gold with the option to customise the headboard with diamonds.
Handcrafted from chestnut, ash and cherry wood, it is so pricey only two will be made by British designer Stuart Hughes.

Dad-of-two Stuart, 39, from Liverpool, who has already sold one of the beds to an Italian businessman, said: “I’ve never worked on anything like it. It’s the sort of thing only the super rich can afford – billionaires who have everything. The bed is stunning.”
Stuart has a reputation for gold-plated excess.
His £22,000 iPhones have been snapped up by the uber rich, including Stefano Gabbana.
